Chew on This:
For every one hundred men you send us, Ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine of them are real fighters; We are lucky to have them, they the battle make. Ah, but the one. One of them is a warrior. And he will bring the others back.

YES, WE CAN! (via Gun Owners Resource)

In a move that should surprise absolutely no one who has two brain cells to rub together, United States President-Elect, Senator Bananafanafofama from Chicago has promptly backpedaled on his consistent claims throughout the campaign that he “supports the Second Amendment.”

The American NRA-ILA — God knows we could use a noisy bunch like that up here, but that’s another rant — is reporting on the latest (of many more to come, no doubt) bucket of cold water thrown on the American public’s sense of personal liberty by the Obamites:

Obama Announces Gun Ban Agenda Before The Final Vote Count Is In

Friday, November 07, 2008

Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign slogan, “the audacity of hope,” should have instead been “the audacity of deceit.” After months of telling the American people that he supports the Second Amendment, and only hours after being declared the president-elect, the Obama transition team website announced an agenda taken straight from the anti-gun lobby–four initiatives designed to ban guns and drive law-abiding firearm manufacturers and dealers out of business… [read the whole thing here -D]

Now, before anybody out there (especially any Americans reading this) even thinks about hooting and hollering about how they didn’t see this coming: STFU!

You all knew exactly who and what Obambi was: a typical Leftist, statist, social-engineering Democrat who never met a problem that more bureaucracy couldn’t solve and who wouldn’t trust an average citizen to wipe his own backside with any competency. And he got elected anyway.

So why am I bothering with this? It’s simple, really. If there’s one thing that history has shown, it’s that American Leftbot idiocy has a habit of slithering across the border and making trouble up here. And decent Canadian gun owners have enough problems already.  Look for things to get worse…

You are so full of shit. The artile you reference is from the NRA, an organization long known to distort the truth to foward ist paramilitary agenda. Look, asshole, no president from ither party has ever attempted to keep legal guns out of the hands of sane, law abiding citizens.

You don’t know squat about Barack Obama or what he stands for. You’re just pissed because another of the closet Nazis you dickless wonders all love didn’t win the election.

“Look, asshole, no president from ither party has ever attempted to keep legal guns out of the hands of sane, law abiding citizens.”

    Idiot.

They make the guns illegal, first. Obama wants to make guns illegal for citizens to own, period. He has said that many times, including when he sat on the board of the Joyce Foundation, the sugar-daddy of almost every gun-banning organization in the country. He is opposed to self-defense, carry, home defense, and any other form of gun-ownership outside of government control.

Check out Clinton’s 1994 ban on scary-looking guns for examples. Read change.gov for Obama’s position on gun control.

    Good day all,
I’m a little confused about this ban idea. Who will enforce it? It seems to me that all of our enforcement power is held by people that would be inclined to OPPOSE a total ban. Police officers and military personnel tend to be pro-gun ownership. If you can tell me how the federal government will actually take the guns away, I might feel your loss of liberty. If not, it’s just fear mongering to support personal beliefs or a personal agenda. And if our President gets some level of gun control legislation passed that you don;t like, you can use our amazingly wonderful political process to CHANGE it.

America: Love it always. Even when it’s bad, it’s still the best.

Be well and stay safe all.

    Joe

If you think that’s bad, you should see what’s banned up here.
Good luck to you, my American friends. You’re gonna need it…

as with all political hacks, you have to read between the lines…. “legal guns”? ok you law abiding citizens, what is a legal gun and where is it legal? Your rights to own, carry, use and sell guns is and has been at risk for years. Thank God for the moderates of both parties who strive to keep an even keel. When I was in school, we drove with our guns in racks in the back windows of our trucks, parked them in the school lot and did not worry about it, now I have to leave my gun at home to go pick up my children to take them hunting. I cannot legally even have them locked in the trunk of the car if I am to drive down the street in front of the school. Was it a law abiding citizen who has done the shooting on the campuses of this country? No, has putting in carry restrictions kept the youth/gang members from bringing guns to campuses across the country. NO. Tell me my rights have not been reduced because of governmental overreaction/overcontrol/lack of ability to control the criminal/insane portion of society. Read the second ammendment again… keep and bear arms….
I would not want Obama’s job, however if the congress wants to keep theirs, they had better figure out what main stream America wants and get busy. 48 to 52 is not a land slide in anyones book. A two % shift makes it a dead heat and 3 points changes the whole show… don’t let anyone pull the wool over your eyes, this is a chance for everyone to do the right thing… is congress willing to truly put the USA first for a change, it is going to be an interesting year.

Keep your eye on the guy making the money. Raise raise a fuss about the new elect banning guns. Now gun sales are way up. (Ridiculuous anyway - how many can one man fire at time?)but who makes the money? The gun companies and merchants make a mint from folks buying extra guns. Now don’t tell me anyone trusts the gun industry enough to think it wouldn’t dare exaggerate claims about possible upcoming gun bans. Do the makers and merchants go into business to make sure Joe 12-guage can protect himself, or to screw him out every dollar possible? C’mon, be honest. Then be honest about how unlikely a substantially different gun policy is - espcially from a first term president…

You guys have to stop watching Red Dawn over and over, get some sleep and stop whining. No one wants your hunting rifles. No one wants your pistols. However there is no need for anyone to own assault weapons. Unless of course you’re such a limp dicked pussy you need one to prove you’re a man. Get over it PUSSIES. A real man doesn’t need a gun to defend himself.

I am a hunter and believe in the right to bear arms but can anyone tell me why the normal person needs and AR-15 or an AK-47 or any type of automatic weapon, does anyone out there with a brain cell that can think for themselves and not just listen to all the bull that goes on really tell me why you would need that type of gun? If it is for hunting than you are not a true hunter I am sure god is fine with us hunting for food it is part of the food chain but if your dump ass is not a good shot it doesn’t mean that you should be able to get an automatic weapon just to kill a deer to hang on your wall you should be proud of yourself. Now I know what you are thinking right now but I have a concealed weapons permit so there goes that idea.

We saw this one coming from miles away. The Obamunists over on newsvine told me I was crazy and blocked me from thier site when I told about this. Seems that the Leftists dont want to hear the truth even when Obamarama says it himself. Now here is the next fact: Obamarama wants to create the Obama Brown Shirts like his favorite leader…Adolf Hitler. Furthermore he has been in communication all allong with Hamas! Last I knew it was a federal crime for a civilian / citizen to be in contact with terrorist leaders no matter what the purposes were.
I wonder just how much of his campaign money came from Hamas?

Now is the time to work on the Mid-Term and take back the country from the socialists. The first response was from an Idiot Obamafile who couldnt find his ass with two hands and a flachlight. He is still living in his mommies basement and works at McDonalds. Sure he adores the One. He will get a welfare check to go along with the great money he makes flipping burgers…that is if he even works.

Its people like this that wouldnt know what to do with freedom if they had it. I remember back in the day when we still had some semblence of freedom and people lived without fear of the police. Now everyone says dont do this or that because you could get arrested…

JUST LIKE NAZI GERMANY, now the Libs have got themselves a Hitler…Lets see how long he lasts

the commenter in response post #1 said “NRA, an organization long known to distort the truth to foward ist paramilitary agenda”

This guy is clearly an Idiot and I suggest that he take a look at the NRA. It is not “Paramilitary” and I for one would like to know where this moron came up with this?

The NRA is there to fight for our RIGHTS as Americans. In canada you are “Subjects” of the Government. Here in America we are “Soverign Citizens” there you only have the rights the governmetn says you have and those can be taken away at the governments discretion. Here our government is trying to institute the same as you have and WE THE PEOPLE are fighting it tooth and nail. We Will Not Go Quietly Into The Night!

The NRA has never distorted the truth. It reports the truth that the mainstream media glosses over or ignores. Obamas supporters are brainwashed just like Adolf Hitlers were. God help us if Obama is allowed to gain absolute control.

  12. Comment by Eric November 11, 2008 @ 4:26 pm

The commentor in post #9 asks why anyone needs an AR15 or AK47 or any other automatic weapon.

Fact: we are not aloug to have “Automatic” weapons. The Law prevents this since 1936. No what you are talking about are Semi-Automatic Rifles like you would use for hunting or sport target shooting.

The right to keep and bare arms is not about hunting or target shooting. It is about being able to defend ones self against a totalitarian government. Please read the constitution so that you will be more educated please. The Declaration of Independence outlines when it is the peoples right and duty to throw off the chains of a governemtn that casts its people into slavery.

The founding fathers feared a huge government and knew that most people are complacent and would never do anything about a despot like Obama.

The founders knew that as long as the people were able to defend themselves that the government would not be restled away from its rightful owners - We the people!

Lets answer your last statemetn with the Remington Woodsmaster 742 (Semi-Automatic) .30-06 was my grandfathers choice of rifles for hunting. He lost his arm fighting the Nazi’s, and it was the only way he could pursue his favorite sport. Now if you had your way you would prevent our heros from being able to hunt just because you dont like the rifle…My question is who died and made you king.
    \
When I was 17 I joined the us-army, and retired in 1997. I swore an oath to support and defend the constitution…That document that was written over 200 years ago was not just written for me or you but for everybody…You might not like semi-auto rifles, but its not up to you to deprive our soldiers or anybody the right to hunt just because you dont like the choice of rifles they make.

The fact is that this is exactly how the Obama Nazi’s think…outlaw one type of weapon, then the next then the next then the next until all are outlawed! Rethink your opposition, and open your eyes before its too late.

You are an embarrassment to Canada. I am a Canadian who lives in the United States (I am currently in Canada visiting). I am a gun owner both a rifle and a hand gun. In Canada I don’t feel the need to own a gun but in the United States every wack job owns a gun & I have guns for protection. The NRA are nuts, who needs an automatic weapon like an AK-47?

Obama stated during his campaign that he wanted to ban concealed weapons. This doesn’t mean citizens can’t carry guns on themselves. They just can’t conceal them. Anyway I think this is low down on Obama’s priority list. If the Dems pass such a bill I am sure the NRA will challenge it as a violation of the 2nd amendment.

  14. Comment by Tell November 11, 2008 @ 5:03 pm

The article is states that “gun legislation” is a low pririty…why should it have any priority? A right is a right, and anything else is a wrong. I may be wrong , but I see a lot of “city folk”(aka sheeple) thinking that when it comes down to brass tacks, that they are safe in their apartments while the watch reality tv and and all the cop and doctor shows over and over again! Well that isn’t rural America, and certainly isn’t the way we think. Obama will back ANY FORM OF CONTROL that his party puts forward, including our rights as citizens of the United States.

  15. Comment by John Lowenthal November 11, 2008 @ 5:30 pm

Neocon nuts, settle down. Barack has said he favors a ban on assault weapons only, not legally owned hunting rifles, shotguns, handguns. Whether or not you still disagree with assault weapon ban is your own stance to have, but don’t distort the facts by claiming he supports a ban on all guns for all Americans.

How hypocritical to accuse others of deceit an then engage in it yourself.

  16. Comment by Tell November 11, 2008 @ 5:57 pm

LOOK at his voting record…what he says vs. what he’s done is the point. It has nothing to do with nuts; or what type of arms or owned.

“Neocon nuts, settle down. Barack has said he favors a ban on assault weapons only, not legally owned hunting rifles, shotguns, handguns.”

Gullible fools, pay attention. Obama was on the board of the biggest gun banning organization in history. He voted against any form of gun rights, and for the seizure of guns, turning Chicago into the crime-free paradise it is today.

The assault weapon ban of 1994 was banning scary-LOOKING features. Fully-automatic weapons have been effectively banned since 1986. They AREN’T what this discussion is about.

Scary looking a black is first. Hunting rifles are next. Don’t forget, the .30-06 you use to take a deer from 300 yards is an “evil” sniper rifle, the target of a different Joyce campaign.

Any gun owner defending Obama on gun rights is an idiot.

Prince, you predicted McCain would get nearly 300 electoral votes. Consequently, he only got half that amount. But like a typical neocon, its everyone ELSE who is a “fool” or an “idiot” if they don’t agree with you.

    Death to fear mongering.

  20. Comment by princewally November 12, 2008 @ 9:19 am

John Lowen, Obama’s gun record is one of the very few things he has a voting record on. He has publicly stated his plan to reinstated the “scary-looking” gun ban and try to institute a federal ban on concealed carry. It’s not fearmongering, it’s repeating his words.

My electoral prediction was based on an optimistic hope that the majority of states wouldn’t fall for the biggest bait-and-switch in history. Don’t gloat about falling for his scam.

  21. Comment by John Lowenthal November 12, 2008 @ 11:24 am

You’re over analyzing Baracks win just as most of the U.S. media is doing. It really has nothing to do with who Barack is or who McCain is, you give the American people too much credit with that assumption. It’s really very simple:

8 years of Republican administration destroyed our nation’s economy and credibility with the rest of the world. It wouldn’t have mattered if Barack was replaced with a tube of cookie dough, we still would have elected the Democrats. Be it as it may that McCain != Bush, voters as a whole take a very simplistic look at things: Republicans = bad 8 years, Dems are the opposition to the Republicans.

WOW this is a lively discussion!!

Just to slow down the bombast I would point out a 2 things.

1# Barack is still “president elect”. Which means he hasn’t done anything yet. I think it would be reasonable to at least wait until he submits a law or proposal before starting to yell.

2# (I this direct at Dennis)

Dude you allowed the Godwin’s Law on message 10 to be broken.

    I’m sorry… but you should know better….:-(
